Lan Ha Bay And Halong bay cruise
Our advice to discover Halong bay and Lan Ha Bay cruise!
How to get there?
We decide to go there by bus. The train, much more expensive than the bus (price ranging from single to double), saves a bit of travel time but the price is not worth the candle (2:30 instead of 3:30).
How long ?
We choose to make the round trip in a day: the question of the duration of the "cruise" was quickly cleared up since the formulas "2 days, 1 night" or "3 days, 2 nights' being far too expensive for us.

Excursion day from Hanoi by BUS:
Transport by bus: Hanoi - Halong Bay Port (3:30)
On leaving the car, more than 3 hours after leaving Hanoi, we are supported by our guide leads us to the pier on Halong port. We patientions half an hour the time it recovers the tickets of the group and we boarded our boat. Here, let's say you could imagine in any Western tourist place but certainly not in Asia. It's suffocating!
Once on board, we spent a long time in the fog time to go to the Bay (if you happen to have a clear view, do you priori happy!). The crossing is nice. We have time to get used to the boat, we go on the roof, we will sit down ...
At the foot of rocky peaks, you feel really tiny. Gigantic growths of vegetation covered completely out of nowhere. Rocky slopes appear to be insurmountable walls that you can bypass that (pretty natural climbing sites fail!) In the middle of the bay is a kind of floating village built on what appears to be the barrels filled with air or polystyrene floats.
TIPS
As part of your tour, you will be offered a ride in a canoe. Once the center of the bay in the floating village, we will take you off the boat BUT this is not to suggest you to turn the canoe included in the price you paid. You can go for a cruise in Lan Ha bay inscluding canoeing excursion for cheap rate tô
Scam Warning
you will be offered a ride with a kind of water taxi. A young woman making office driver, you baladera rowing in a boat-shaped boat made of woven bamboo (it feels just tourists ...). Here we will try to make you believe that it is the turn included in your package. This tour is supposedly free, but mandatory rental of a life jacket (in poor condition and more) costs as little as € 5 !!! Politely refuse the scam overpriced.

Finally we made a short stop in a cave. Although the site is superb, we do not know what to think. One can simply say that the path is fully marked and the lights of all colors have a little left us perplexed. Then on the way back, the boat slows down near a small island full of monkeys that the crew of the boat launches food (an open zoo?).
GOOD PLAN
If we had allocated a slightly larger budget, we would have liked: Go to Cat Ba Island for a wander and visit the natural park. The bay of the same name is deemed to still be preserved from the tourist crowds. You should know that there are 500 boats constantly present in the single Halong Bay. Check thí site http://travel.voyagevietnam.co/ for more detail about Lan Ha Bay cruise !
